General information
IceCube-260217A is a track-like high-energy neutrino candidate detected by IceCube on 2026-02-17 05:55:24.52 UT, classified in the ICECUBE_Astrotrack_BRONZE stream with a reported false alarm rate of 2.768 events/year and refined coordinates RA=75.89 deg, Dec=14.63 deg (J2000).
Wavelength coverage
- Neutrinos: IceCube alert and subsequent searches for additional coincident events (no significant excess reported).
- Gamma-ray (GeV): Fermi-LAT all-sky survey analysis reports no significant new excess and provides flux upper limits.
- Optical: ZTF/P48 g- and r-band follow-up to typical depth ~20.5 mag reports no candidate transients.
No observations were mentioned in: X-ray, UV, radio, IR, TeV.
Lightcurve and spectrum
- Fermi-LAT: >100 MeV flux upper limits (95% CL) assuming a power-law photon index 2.0 for integrations of ~17 years, 1 month pre-T0, and 1 day pre-T0.
- ZTF: g/r imaging starting 2026-02-22 02:51 UTC (about 116.9 hours after T0), 30 s exposures, typical depth 20.5 mag; no candidates.
