General information
IceCube-260115A is a track-like IceCube Bronze alert detected on 2026-01-15 17:32:35.71 UTC with refined localization near RA 145.77 deg, Dec 12.41 deg and follow-up reporting no compelling electromagnetic counterpart.
Wavelength coverage
- Neutrinos: IceCube reports the alert and follow-up searches for additional neutrinos (no excess in ±500 s; 2-day window consistent with background).
- Gamma-ray: Fermi-LAT reports no significant (>5σ) new excess emission and provides >100 MeV flux upper limits on 1-day, 1-month, and ~17-year timescales.
- Optical: ZTF/P48 imaged the region in g and r bands and reports one transient candidate (AT2026azb) but considers it unlikely related.
No observations are mentioned in X-ray, UV, IR, radio, or gravitational waves.
Lightcurve and spectrum
- Optical (AT2026azb / ZTF26aabnqai): first detected at r≈21.08±0.15 mag; g−r≈0.5 mag; forced photometry indicates detections up to ~1 week earlier with a fading rate of ~0.5 mag/day; later nondetection consistent with continued fading.
Redshift
- AT2026azb host photometric redshift z=0.23±0.08 (Legacy Survey).
