The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely SHORT GRB

At 18:57:03 UT on 30 Sep 2026, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 260930B (trigger 812487422.769082 / 260930790).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 104.2, Dec = 44.2 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 06h 56m, 44d 12'), with a statistical uncertainty of 6.2 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 150.0 degrees.
