General information
GRB 260831A was detected by Fermi/GBM at 04:09:00 UT on 31 Aug 2026 and independently by GECAM-B at 04:09:02 UTC. Fermi/GBM reported an on-ground location of RA = 220.0 deg, Dec = -7.2 deg with a 6.5 deg statistical uncertainty and classified it as a likely long GRB.
Wavelength coverage
- Gamma-ray: Fermi/GBM triggered and localized the event; GECAM-B also triggered and reported light curves in about 70–6000 keV.
No observations are mentioned in X-ray, optical, infrared, radio, neutrino, or gravitational-wave bands.
Lightcurve and spectrum
- GECAM-B reports the burst mainly consists of a single pulse.
- GECAM-B reports T90 = 4 +2/-2 s in about 70–6000 keV.
