General information
GRB 260827A was detected on 2026-08-27 around 10:43 UT and localized by Fermi/GBM to RA = 247.9 deg, Dec = -53.5 deg with a 2.4 deg statistical uncertainty. It was subsequently reported by Glowbug, SVOM/GRM, SVOM/ECLAIRs through the shield, and Insight-HXMT/HE.
Wavelength coverage
- Gamma-ray: Fermi/GBM detected and localized the burst; Glowbug detected it at about 11.3 sigma; SVOM/GRM triggered on it and provided timing and spectral measurements; ECLAIRs detected it through the shield above 50 keV; Insight-HXMT/HE detected it in about 60-900 keV deposited energy.
No observations are mentioned in optical, infrared, ultraviolet, radio, X-ray afterglow, gravitational-wave, or neutrino bands.
Lightcurve and spectrum
- Fermi/GBM reported a likely long GRB at 10:42:59 UT.
- Glowbug found an onset time of 2026-08-27 10:42:58.640, duration of 2.6 s, total significance about 11.3 sigma, and a single-peaked light curve.
- SVOM/GRM reported multiple pulses with T90 = 1.7 +0.6/-0.3 s in 15-5000 keV.
- SVOM/GRM fitted the time-averaged spectrum from T0-1 to T0+2 s with a power law with exponential high-energy cutoff: photon index -0.49 +0.24/-0.27 and Epeak = 431 +91/-64 keV.
- SVOM/GRM measured a 10-1000 keV fluence of (4.61 +0.32/-0.34)E-06 erg/cm^2.
- Insight-HXMT/HE reported multiple pulses with T90 = 1.6 +1.6/-0.7 s, a 1 s peak rate of 932 counts/s from T0-0.85 s, and 1396 total counts.
