General information
GRB 260605A is reported as a long-duration gamma-ray burst detected at about 2026-06-05 01:04:28 UT. It was detected by Insight-HXMT/HE, SVOM/GRM, Konus-Wind, and Mars-Odyssey/HEND, with a preliminary IPN 3 sigma triangulation error box.
Wavelength coverage
- Gamma-ray: Insight-HXMT/HE detected the burst and reported a single-pulse light curve; SVOM/GRM, Konus-Wind, and Mars-Odyssey/HEND also detected it.
- Gamma-ray localization: IPN triangulation reports a preliminary 3 sigma error box with area 3003 sq. arcmin and maximum dimension 20.3 deg.
No observations are mentioned in X-ray afterglow, optical, infrared, radio, neutrino, or gravitational-wave bands.
Lightcurve and spectrum
- Insight-HXMT/HE reports the light curve mainly consists of a single pulse.
- T90 = 11.0 +2.5/-1.0 s.
- The 1 s peak rate was 6386 counts/s, measured from T0+1.75 s.
- Insight-HXMT/HE detected 22324 total counts.
- Measurements used CsI detectors in regular mode over about 60–900 keV deposited energy; gamma-rays above about 200 keV can penetrate the spacecraft and leave signals in these detectors.
