GRB 260316A

General information

GRB 260316A (also referred to as EP260316a) is a gamma-ray burst detected/covered by multiple high-energy instruments, including a Fermi-GBM trigger and an AstroSat CZTI detection. Optical follow-up reported deep limits and an optical candidate without confirmed variability.

Wavelength coverage

• Gamma-ray / hard X-ray: Fermi-GBM trigger and localization reported; GBM targeted search also finds a faint transient consistent with EP localization (44031, 44029).
• Hard X-ray: AstroSat CZTI detection in 20–200 keV; faint signal also in 100–500 keV veto detector (44035).
• Optical: SVOM/VT ToO gives VT_R>23.2 and VT_B>23.3 (AB, 3σ) at ~10.35 hr (44038); COLIBRÍ r/z imaging detects a candidate source but without significant residuals in template subtraction between two nights (44046). No radio, infrared, ultraviolet (non-optical), or TeV observations are mentioned in the provided circulars.
