GRB 260226A

General information

GRB 260226A triggered Fermi-GBM at 2026-02-26 10:37:55 UT and was classified as a likely long GRB. It was also independently detected by Fermi-LAT, which provided a refined localization at RA=41.93 deg, Dec=+7.73 deg (J2000) with r90=0.11 deg.

Wavelength coverage

Gamma-ray / hard X-ray: Detected by Fermi-GBM, Fermi-LAT (high-energy), AstroSat-CZTI, NuSTAR shields (and >100 keV in detectors), Glowbug (ISS), CALET/CGBM, Konus-Wind (up to ~20 MeV), and Insight-HXMT/HE.
Optical: Multiple facilities reported non-detections and upper limits from ~3.1 hr to ~17.3 hr post-trigger (MASTER, GROWTH-India, LAST, Asiago, LCOGT, COLIBRÍ). No observations were mentioned in radio, millimeter, infrared, ultraviolet, soft X-ray (focused imaging), or TeV.
