General information
GRB 260128B was detected by SVOM/ECLAIRs via an offline search, with a reported position at RA=27.734 deg, Dec=-25.867 deg (90% radius 12 arcmin). Optical imaging at ~1.8 days after the trigger reported only r/z-band upper limits and no new source in the ECLAIRs error region.
Wavelength coverage
- Gamma/X-ray (soft X-ray band): SVOM/ECLAIRs detection in 4–20 keV with best image-trigger S/N 7.5 over 10.24 s.
- Optical: r and z imaging with non-detections to r > 22.3–22.4 and z > 21.3–21.5 (AB) at ~42–45 hr post-trigger.
No observations were reported in UV, NIR, radio, or GeV/TeV bands.
Lightcurve and spectrum
- The prompt lightcurve is reported as single-peaked, lasting around ~4 s.
Redshift
What’s special vs typical
- Despite relatively deep late-time optical imaging (~42–45 hr), no optical counterpart was detected, consistent with an optically faint/dark afterglow candidate.
