General information
EP260713a is an Einstein Probe X-ray transient detected by WXT on 2026-07-13T15:25:54 UTC at R.A. 283.210 deg, Dec. -13.129 deg, with a 2.4 arcmin radius uncertainty. EP/FXT later detected an uncatalogued X-ray source consistent with the WXT transient position.
Wavelength coverage
- X-ray: EP/WXT detected the transient and measured a preliminary absorbed blackbody spectrum; EP/FXT performed follow-up and detected a consistent uncatalogued X-ray source.
Gamma-ray, optical, infrared, radio, neutrino, and gravitational-wave observations were not mentioned.
Lightcurve and spectrum
- WXT spectrum: absorbed blackbody with NH = 0.8(-0.7/+1.8)e22 cm-2 and temperature kT = 0.12(-0.07/+0.21) keV.
- WXT flux: 0.5-4 keV flux = 6.9(-1.2/+2.9)e-12 erg/s/cm^2.
- FXT follow-up at 2026-07-14T07:01:57 UTC detected an uncatalogued X-ray source at R.A. = 283.2049 deg, Dec. = -13.1132 deg with about 20 arcsec uncertainty.
