General information
COLIBRÍ/DDRAGO reports optical observations of the Einstein Probe X-ray transient EP260530a targeting the counterpart candidate AT 2026nwl, previously discovered by GOTO and associated with EP260530a.
Wavelength coverage
- Optical: COLIBRÍ observations in g, r, i, z, y with detections and calibrated AB photometry.
No observations were mentioned in radio, infrared (non-optical), ultraviolet, X-ray (beyond the trigger context), gamma-ray, or neutrinos.
Lightcurve and spectrum
- During 55 minutes, the source shows a smooth rise from r = 15.35 to r = 15.28 followed by a smooth fall to r = 15.36, with similar behavior in other filters.
Redshift
What’s special vs typical
- Short-timescale (intra-hour) smooth variability is described as reminiscent of cataclysmic variables, while blue colors are also noted as consistent with an FBOT.
