EP-WXT trigger 01709258989 has been confirmed as a stellar flare based on rapid optical follow-up identifying variability from the star 1RXS J073101.9+460030 within the reported EP-FXT error circle.
Wavelength coverage
- Optical: BOOTES-7 observed g/r/i fading over ~20 min; KAIT obtained clear (roughly R) imaging over ~2.5 hr and saw a second flare.
- X-ray: Triggered by EP-WXT/EP-FXT (no quantitative X-ray properties reported in these circulars).
